5-Amino-1MQ (5-amino-1-methylquinolinium) is a small-molecule nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT) inhibitor studied in NAD+ and metabolic research. NNMT inhibition was reported to lower 1-methylnicotinamide, raise NAD+ and SAM, and suppress lipogenesis in cultured adipocytes (Neelakantan et al., Biochem Pharmacol 2018, PMID 29155147); follow-up work examined NNMT inhibition in diet-induced obesity models (Diabetes Obes Metab 2024, PMID 39161060). 5-Amino-1MQ research compound is supplied as lyophilized powder at ≥99% purity verified by HPLC, with a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA) included.
