AHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-3) is a synthetic copper(II)-binding tripeptide analog of GHK with the sequence Ala-His-Lys chelated to copper. In ex vivo and in vitro research on human hair follicles, AHK-Cu stimulated hair-follicle elongation and dermal papilla cell proliferation, partly through anti-apoptotic effects on dermal papilla cells (Pyo et al., Arch Pharm Res 2007, PMID 17703734).
