SNAP-8 (Acetyl Octapeptide-3) is a synthetic octapeptide with the sequence Ac-Glu-Glu-Met-Gln-Arg-Arg-Ala-Asp-NH2, designed to mimic the N-terminus of SNAP-25 and modulate SNARE-complex formation. It is the extended analog of the SNAP-25-derived hexapeptide whose SNARE-inhibiting mechanism was established in peer-reviewed dermal research (Blanes-Mira et al., Int J Cosmet Sci 2002, PMID 18498523).
